KEDRAB™ is a preservative-free Human Rabies Immunoglobulin (HRIG) designed for passive, transient postexposure prophylaxis (PEP) of rabies infection, effective when administered immediately after exposure to a rabid or potentially rabid animal.
For optimal efficacy, KEDRAB should be used in conjunction with a complete rabies vaccination series.
Each 2-mL single-dose vial delivers a total of 300 IU of HRIG, catering specifically to pediatric patients weighing up to 15 kg (33 lbs).
Depending on the patient's weight and the severity of exposure, treatment may necessitate multiple vials.
